Watch the tournament on the official Twitch channel to earn up to two Showdown in the Badlands card packs. The roster is really stacked – those are some of the best Hearthstone players so even without unique decks the whole thing should be fun to watch. The meta is pretty much settled already so we more or less know what to expect, but given the caliber of the players, it wouldn’t be surprising if some of them tried to bring some metabreakers to get an advantage. The event will be played on Patch 28.2.1. Masters Tour: World Championship 2023 happens this weekend (December 16-17). The streams will start at 9 AM PT / 6 PM CET! 8 players qualified through various ways (previous Masters Tour, ladder points) will fight for their share of $350k prize pool. For now, we still have the most important event of the year ahead. Will the next year be better, or will Blizzard decide to close down the esports division completely? Only time will tell. This year’s Hearthstone esports has been a very bumpy ride but we’re finally at the end. It’s finally here! The official World Championship announcement. I hate that feeling of waiting for card A so you can play card B and then so you can play card C all while sitting on card B and C.Update: Day 2 is now live! You can watch it on Twitch or YouTube. You really need to draw your deathrattle minions early and play them in order to do anything meaningful. ![]() Before Undead Priest was a real thing and they had JUST released the mini-set, Melphina and I were playing with pretty much the same deck as it exists today with a few card difference since we were in early stages of experimenting (let’s be honest, it’s not hard to build the deck because the cards practically form the deck themselves - we were still experimenting with Xyrella popping off if you couldn’t kill the opponent fast and needed a finisher and hadn’t yet put Voidtouched Attendant into the deck)Įvery game seemed like a high roll of awesome draw or you just had cards like Undying Allies and Animate Dead in had at the start and you just did nothing for several turns. I got to the point where I was in the “days” range, not playing for days, but then I occasionally hit an enjoyable pocket of the meta which encourages me to play a bit more. My advice, if you are feeling the meta is awful, take a break, then check back every few hours, then if its still bad, check back every few days, and if its still bad, check back every few months. ![]() Very bad experience, as its literally luck of the draw that determines this, yet a lot of players are flocking to this deck, which makes for an awful meta when that happens. But its a very high-rolly deck it seems, as my record vs spriest is decent (50+) percent, but a lot of games feel like theres nothing I could do to win since they output 30+ damage in less than 5 turns, and other games, they happen to draw like a turd and do nothing for like 2 to 3 turns. If shadow priest gets a good mulligan + draw, they can kill you before turn 5, no kidding, I’ve lost turn 4 to a shadow priest, while gaining armor I might add. Shadow priest is worth its own discussion. Then at some point during the day or night, all the sweaty players seem to log on, and then just grind grind grind with whatever is the flavour of the day, week or month. Heck, I recently played a energy shaper mage, which, at this rank, I have never seen, it’s something like a t4 deck. I’m currently playing 1k legend, closer to the <500 rank, and I find there’s pockets or bursts during the day when things become more enjoyable, and I run into various different decks.
